Pressed down, shaken together, running over.

Allow me to introduce myself to you, I am Ayrra Nicole Basa, 20 years of age and a member of Faithbridge Church. I have been a Christian for almost 6 years now but have only practiced and experienced the joy of giving back to the Lord recently.

For years I’ve heard through preaching’s and exhortations how one can be so blessed by giving back to the Lord, but never took it in seriously. I’ve always thought that I am blessed but not capable enough to give back because I myself is not making too much.

The beginning of year 2017 was the hardest for me. After a vacation of a lifetime in the Philippines, I came back home with no job – meaning no source of income, no money. I can still remember that we were in the theatres back then when the Lord strongly spoke to me. “Just give. With everything that you have. I have it all in control”. At first I was very hesitant, but with faith I gave. With faith, I trusted God.

After God spoke to me, I became faithful to what God has instructed me to do. But of course, the Lord almighty Himself, would never break his promises, as he said in Matthew 6:33, “Seek ye the kingdom of God and all his righteousness and these things shall be added unto you”. God gave me the job that I was praying for. Not only one, but two jobs. With these jobs, I was able to bless God more and the people around me.

Blessings after blessings came into my life and to my family as well because I trusted in the Lord. Whenever I say “blessings”, it does not always necessary mean grand things but also the little things in life, like praying that you catch the bus whenever you’re running late. Then poof! The bus driver stops for you while you’re running to the bus stop or even praying in Jesus’ name for the rain to stop while you’re walking to work or home because you forgot your umbrella and then boom! The rain stops. No matter how cliché it may sound, when you put your faith in God, expect that He will always always and always do His part – because the God that we serve is faithful and true to His promises.

Many times my faith in God was tested. Many times I was put in a situation where everything seemed impossible, but God always reminded me that He is and will always be in control – that He can work miracles and wonders in my life.
